OUR VINEYARDS
Our grapes are sourced from various wine growing regions across the Western Cape: Paarl, Stellenbosch, the Swartland and the Piekenierskloof.

Planted in 1961, this old dame is situated on the gentle slopes of Joostenberg and profits from the moderating effects of this windswept site in Paarl.
The old gnarled and twisted bush vines produce fruit nuanced with subtle depth and wonderful intensity.

KHAKIBOS
Khakibos is an unusual blend of Verdelho, Chenin blanc, Palomino and Fernão Pires. Our Verdelho is grown in koffieklip-rich soil, treasured for its free-draining quality, and found anchored on the foot slopes of the Helderberg Mountain.
Our Chenin blanc is located in our exceptional Paarl vineyard, our Palomino grown in Piekenierskloof sandstone and Fernão Pires from the gravelly soils located along the Breede River.

NASTERGAL
Nastergal is driven by Tempranillo, a Spanish grape variety known for making big, bold wine. We’ve sourced our Tempranillo from shale soil found along the
Berg River in Wellington, which provides plenty of
backbone and ageing potential.
In order to balance the big boom of Tempranillo, we’ve blended it alongside mature Alicante Bouschet grapes that are rooted in the deep red soils of the Stellenbosch Mountain and add spicy aromatics and intense colour.
Small parcels of Touriga Nacional, Souzão and Touriga Francesa, also from the Stellenbosch Mountain, provide the final flourish to finish off this one-of-a-kind wine.
INSPIRED BY THE UNCONVENTIONAL YET BEAUTIFULLY
VERSATILE CULTIVARS OF PORTUGAL, OUR BLENDED WINES ARE NOT AFRAID TO EXPOSE THE TRUE CAPABILITIES OF OUR CAPE SOILS AND MICROCLIMATES.
