The Harvest Club: What’s New, What’s Rare, What’s Yours

We launched The Harvest Club just two months ago - and with it, a new way to share what’s happening behind our cellar doors. There’s no subscriptions and no fine print. Just exclusive access to extra-special, limited-edition wines we’ve set aside - from small-lot bottlings and library stock to hand-filled magnums - including some of Steph’s wild and wonderful winemaker projects that she concocts when time allows. And now, there’s even more to uncork.

Introducing Our Members-Only Shop

Think of it as our digital cellar door - just a little more exclusive. As a Harvest Club member, you’ll get log-in access to a private section of our website where the really special stuff lives.

We’re talking access to the kind of wines that rarely leave the farm. While the public can shop our current releases, members get first dibs - and often, better pricing too.

You say potato, we say potatoh. You say Albariño, we say Alvarinho. With just 46 bottles of this skin-contact Alvarinho made back in 2020, we’re even impressed by how fresh and zingy it is. Originally from Portugal’s northwest, Alvarinho thrives in the Cape thanks to our coastal breezes and granite-rich soils, which mirror its native Atlantic terroir - making bright, aromatic wine with plenty of zip and texture. As for the label, those aren’t just pretty patterns. Each one includes real ceramic fragments unearthed during ploughing - bits of crockery and tile that have surfaced over time in the vineyard.

“A wine that tastes as good as it looks.” - Tim Atkin 93 pts Elmie Rosé 2018

A special bottling from our sister winery, Terblanche Family Vineyards. It’s part tank, part barrel fermented, made from Piekenierskloof Grenache, and somehow manages to be both rich and feather-light. We bottled it in antique green glass to keep it safe from light strike and set it apart from its Pinotage cousin (Overall Rosé of the Year from Tim Atkin's South Africa Report in 2024).

These beauties are finally getting the attention they deserve. Our Duwweltjie magnums have landed in the Members’ Shop - limited, large-format releases of our very first wine. Made from old-vine Chenin Blanc in Paarl, Duwweltjie is all layered texture, peachy generosity and citrus lift. It’s a wine that opens up beautifully with time and air - and in magnum, it has even more room to grow. The larger format allows for slower, more graceful ageing, holding onto freshness and structure for longer. We didn’t make many of these. They’re cellar-worthy, table-ready and something truly special to pull out when the moment calls for it.

You’ll find P. Jackson hanging out behind the members-only curtain, too. It’s one of our favourites - the kind of wine that deserves an audience of like-minded drinkers. A Cape Late-Bottled Vintage named after the invasive Port Jackson tree (a tongue-in-cheek nod to Portuguese tradition), this fortified red is anything but past its prime. Made from Touriga Franca, Souzao and Tinta Barocca, this rich, barrel-aged blend brims with dark fruit, sweet spice and velvet-smooth texture. Just 1,200 bottles were made - hand-corked, waxed and worth slowing down for.

And there’s more to come - once you start sharing the good stuff, it’s hard to stop.

Join Today

Joining The Harvest Club is easy. Simply buy any 6 bottles of Thistle & Weed (mixed cases welcome, we’re not fussy) and you’ll get access to our members-only shop. You’ll also be the first to hear about seasonal releases and exclusive events, starting this summer.

Forget the stiff-shirt wine clubs and ou toppie traditions. This is a wine club for the curious ones. The finish-your-glass-then-go-back-for-more ones. The ones who stay long after harvest.

See you on the inside.
